Welcome
Welcome to the FRIENDS of Wayne State University School of Medicine Website. A non-profit organization, FRIENDS was established in 1972 to “stimulate, support and encourage activities helpful to the School of Medicine.” This charter allows us the opportunity to pursue a wide range of initiatives such as fundraising efforts, beautification projects, financial gifts and many other ways of contributing to the success of the School of Medicine.
Membership includes faculty, parents, students, the medical community and anyone interested in joining with our efforts to support the School of Medicine. We encourage you to learn more about the ways we support our school, the faculty and medical students.
We extend an invitation to anyone interested in supporting the School of Medicine to join the FRIENDS of WSU SoM. Our luncheon meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, September through May (excluding November and December), in Scott Hall.
